FREE PATTER FOR LAPTOP ENVELOPE

Using your first color, chain the number of stitches that is necessary for the width of the laptop. I made mine almost exactly the width of the laptop because it will stretch out when you put your laptop in it.

1) hdc in each st for 4 rows

2) Switch to second color and hdc in each st for 4 rows

3) Repeat 1 and 2 8 times

4) Repeat 1

5) Switch to second color and hdc in each st for 2 rows

6) Repeat 2

7) Using Color 1, hdc in each st for 2 rows

8) hdc in first ten sts, chain 2 sts skip 2 sts, hdc in each st until 12 sts from the end, CO 2 sts, skip 2 sts, hdc in each st to end

9) Using color 2, hdc in each st for 2 rows.

8) Repeat 5

Line up the stripes for the front and the back leaving the last 5 stripes at the top in order to have it fold over the front and sew the seams up.



Buttons:

Chain 1 st

hdc 12 sts in the 1 st

sc 12 sts around the 12 sts you just created.



place and sew in buttons... weave in ends and enjoy your new laptop envelope!!

FREE CROCHET PATTERN FOR ACORN AMIGURUMIS.  These would be so cute for the autumn season coming up just around the corner.                        

 

You will need…

E US/3.5mm crochet hook
Small amount of worsted weight yarn in 2 colours (for acorn and cup)
Polyester fibrefill stuffing
Yarn needle to weave in ends
Stitch marker
Embellishments (see below for ideas)
Pipe cleaner to make twig (optional)

Acorn Pattern
worked from top to bottom

Make a magic ring, ch 1.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6 st)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 st)
Rnd 3: sc in each st around. (12 st)
Rnd 4: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) six times. (18 st)
Rnds 5-10: sc in each st around. (18 st)
Rnd 11: (sc in next st, sc2tog) six times. (12 st). Stuff acorn through hole.
Rnd 12: sc2tog six times. Close up remaining hole, fasten off and weave in ends.

Acorn Cup Pattern           

Make a magic ring, ch 1.

Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring. (6 st)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each st around. (12 st)
Rnd 3: (sc in next st, 2 sc in next st) six times. (18 st)
Rnd 4: (sc in next 5 st, 2 sc in next st) three times. (21 st)
Rnds 5-6: sc in each st around. (21 st)
Rnd 7: sc in next 9 st, sc2tog, sc in next 8 st, sc2tog. (19 st).
Join with sl st to next stitch. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Decorating:

Your acorn will need a cute face. This can be as simple as just two eyes, or you can embroider on a nose and/or mouth.
Sew on small round beads or buttons.
Embroider circles to make an alert acorn.
Embroider ‘u’ shapes to make a sleeping acorn.
Glue on googly eyes.

The recycled upcycled skirt purse tote bag is made using a leopard print skirt.

I have crocheted around the top with a brown single stitch and a crocheted flap to attach to a brown button. The skirt has a zipper in the front.  

The crocheted brown strap is attached with gold rings and gold hooks.  

The bag measures 24 inches long, including the strap and 11 inches long, not including the strap. The bag is 16 inches wide at the widest point.

Leopards are graceful and powerful big cats closely related to lions, tigers, and jaguars. They live in sub-Saharan Africa, northeast Africa, Central Asia, India, and China. However, many of their populations are endangered, especially outside of Africa.

The leopard is so strong and comfortable in trees that it often hauls its kills into the branches. By dragging the bodies of large animals aloft it hopes to keep them safe from scavengers such as hyenas. Leopards can also hunt from trees, where their spotted coats allow them to blend with the leaves until they spring with a deadly pounce. This fun trendy sweater purse in black and gray is made using a upcycled recycled sweater.


I have crochted in light gray color around the top edge of the purse with a light gray crocheted strap attached using an antiqued silver ring.
The bag itself measure 17 1/2 inches wide at widest point and 10 1/2 inches long, not including the strap. Including the strap the bag measures 22 inches long.
This bag can be used as a beach bag, purse, tote bag, book bag or anything else you would want to carry in it.

"Watermelon Cooler"

1 1/2 lbs. (4 cups) sliced seedless watermelon, rind removed

1 cup lemon sorbet

1 lemon, zested

1 1/2 cups cold water

Watermelon wedges and mint, for garnish

Directions:

In a food processor, blend watermelon, sorbet and lemon zest until very smooth.  Stir in 1  1/2 cups cold water, cover and refrigerate until very cold.  Serve over ice and garnish with watermelon wedges and mint.

Servings: 2 servings

A Summer Afternoon

A languid atmosphere, a lazy breeze,

New Handmade Unique Purse
